What Sets Us Apart
A Way of Living That Larger Residences Rarely Offer
Small enough to know everyone. Thoughtful enough to get the details right.
β Back to HomeOur Strengths
Six Things Residents and Families Notice First
These are not claims β they are observations that families share with us after the first few weeks of a loved one settling in.
Cooking That Tastes Like Home
Our kitchen follows Cantonese seasonal menus, not a standardised institutional menu. Dishes change with what is fresh. Personal tastes are noted and respected.
A Community of Recognisable Faces
We keep the residence small by design. After a week, most residents know the people around them β their names, their routines, their table preferences at tea time.
Gardens Worth Going Out to Each Morning
The courtyards and garden spaces are maintained throughout the week and planted seasonally. They are not just decorative β residents use them, tend them, and return to them daily.
Staff Who Learn Your Rhythms
Our team is kept at a size that allows genuine relationships to develop with each resident. They are trained to notice preferences, moods and small changes β not to manage a volume of people.
A Quieter Corner of Hong Kong
Sai Kung offers lower density, a waterfront not far away, and a pace of life that differs noticeably from the urban centre. Residents find this matters more than they expected.
Arrangements That Can Flex Over Time
Whether someone starts with dining only and later moves to full residence, or adjusts what is included, our three offerings can be combined and changed as circumstances evolve.
Experience & Knowledge
Years of Experience With Cantonese Senior Community Life
Our leadership team and senior staff bring direct experience running community living environments in Hong Kong. This is not a transferred model from elsewhere β it has been shaped by the specific context of Cantonese family values, local dietary culture and the social patterns of older adults in the New Territories.
That experience shows in practical ways: meals that follow actual Cantonese cooking traditions, a social calendar that does not force participation, and a team that understands the importance of face-saving and dignity in everyday interactions.
- Staff trained in community living and elder care practices
- Kitchen team with background in Cantonese home and restaurant cooking
- Residence management with direct Hong Kong community living experience
- Ongoing staff development focused on resident wellbeing and communication
- Personal welcome host for every full-residence resident
- Resident liaison staff available throughout the day
- Monthly community meetings where resident voices are heard directly
- Families updated regularly and always welcome to contact us
Personal Attention
Service Built Around Each Individual, Not the Average Resident
Most senior living environments are designed to manage many people at once efficiently. We have made a different choice: keeping the number of residents small enough that each person can be known personally by the staff who serve them every day.
The result is that staff know how someone takes their tea, what time they prefer to walk, whether they like conversation in the morning or quiet. These small things shape the feeling of belonging.
Clear, Transparent Pricing
Three Clear Arrangements β No Hidden Additions
Our three arrangements are priced clearly and include what they describe. The Full Comfort Residence Package at HK$3,880 per month covers a private room, daily housekeeping, fresh linen, laundry, errand help and all dining and garden access. Families are not surprised by additional charges after moving in.
For those who only wish to participate in meals or garden access, those arrangements are available independently β offering a flexible and affordable way to benefit from the community without full residency.
- Dining & Tea House from HK$1,080/month
- Garden & Courtyard access from HK$2,260/month
- Full Comfort Residence Package from HK$3,880/month
- Monthly arrangements with one calendar month notice period

What Only Ming Yuet Offers
Distinctive Features of This Residence
The Daily Afternoon Tea Sitting
A dedicated afternoon tea sitting with dim sum is part of every day here β not an occasional event. It anchors the day socially and gives residents a reliable gathering point they look forward to.
A Personal Welcome Host
Every full-residence resident is assigned a personal welcome host who helps them settle in, learns their preferences and remains a consistent point of contact throughout their stay.
Light Gardening as Part of the Programme
For residents who enjoy it, light gardening in the courtyard is available as an activity β tending to seasonal plants, watering, or simply being involved in the outdoor space in a purposeful way.
Family Dining Welcome
Families are welcome to join residents for a meal in the dining hall with one day's notice. This keeps family bonds active and makes visits more natural and enjoyable for everyone.
